For the past several years Annalise has been working with Senior Executives and BU Heads to develop and present customised operational and compliance risk culture programs that integrate risk with business strategy, are tailored to meet each BUs specific needs and enliven and align risk with critical business priorities. The programs comprise marketing with Heads of Business, research on BU strategy and research business areas of focus, a two day customised workshop and subsequent action and impact monitoring.
Close to 60 programs have now been delivered in every Division across the compamy and attracting attention from other banks, organisational development agencies and external providers.

Operational Risk is part of the DNA for any operations staff member. It requires knowledge, training and experience. If we [the Bank] get this right we will ensure that we have highly trained and competent staff. We will also reduce the risks within our business. The recent workshop my management team attended took the team a long way forward in this knowledge and helped them understand how to deal with risks in our business. The main reason for the success of this workshop was due to some key factors. The facilitators, the agenda (business driven) and the fact it was like no other risk course on the planet.
He also said to Annalise:
We will continue to drive hard with the agenda and our conversations, for action, over the next year. I would love to see you back in three months time to go over with the management team how they are going. I will also discuss with the team future workshops with managers who couldn't attend.
Also published is an article in the latest World, emphaising Annalise’s efforts and the success of the workshops to date. The culture program gained external recognition through winning the Business Excellence Award – positioning this program as Industry Best Practice.
